LUNCH MONEY LIFE SUPEREGO

Taking a softer approach than on their aptly apocalyptic recent single 'Truth Serum', London's Lunch Money Life have revealed its ambient follow up. Inspired by the unique surroundings at their self-built studio in All Saints church, 'Superego' materialised from field recordings, which captured the angelic natural reverb of their new musical home. Adding structure in the form of clattering beats and an eventual melodic bass line, there's a choral quality to the track that feels euphoric and heartbreaking at the same time. Gradually adding layers of angular guitar work, which modestly flicker in the background, the celestial drones remain the focus of 'Superego' as it sways towards a sudden ending. Lunch Money Life's forthcoming full length Immersion Chamber will be released on the 3rd of April via Scenic Route. -Holly Mullineaux
